Proceeding her stint at the Edinburgh Fringe it was back to auditioning and it wasn't long before Beccis vocal versatility got her her next big contract in the Internationally touring ABBA show "Abba Forever" strangely enough playing the brunette?! For the next 3 years ABBA was her life touring from Inverness to Malmo and beyond.
Becci Morrell is a professional female vocalist and began her journey into the world of showbiz at a very young age when she appeared on the Michael Barrymore show at the age of 14 with her sisters. From this point onwards she got the bug. Becci and her sisters then formed "Indiana" which evolved into "Jacks Daughter". Represented by a London management company she came very close to stardom with the possibility of a record contract with London Records. Unfortunately the sisters were pipped to the post by the Sugababes. With this early taste of fame she knew this is what she wanted to do for a career. At the tender age of 19 she embarked on a 3 year performance degree programme at the critically acclaimed "Fame School" of Sir Paul McCartney called LIPA. This was by far one of the best experiences of her life meeting like minded people all with extreme talents. She trained hard and had the best time ever, playing roles she could only have ever dreamed of playing and even before graduating she had her first job lined up at the critically accalimed Edinburgh Fringe festival in a stunning 4 hander called Blues in the night which played to full houses every night and to 5* reviews
3 Years of being a dancing queen were upon her and she decided it was time to spread her wings and fly the nest. 2007 saw her joinng Timeless Theatre Productions touring UK theatres in a nostalgia show.
A year of nostalgia and growing further as a performer it was time to spread her wings once again and show her vocal abilities further afield. Celebrity Cruises was in London auditioning for Lead Female Vocalists, so off she went. 5 weeks later she was boarding a plane in Manchester to join rehearsals in Nashville Tenessee for The Celebrity Constellation. Singing everything from Opera to Rock.
7 months of travelling the world had really inspired Becci to dream big and get more creative. She wanted to get back to her roots of performing in UK theatres and it wasn't long before she got that chance . This time she was cast as Lead Female Vocalist in the UK and International tour of Beyond the Barricade. Back singing Musical Theatre, her first love. Here she not only belted her way through Wicked, Saigon and The Lion King, but she also showed off her range and adaptability as a vocalist by singing the role of Christine in Phantom of the Opera and Cosette in Les Miserables.
After 3 years of "Barricading" Becci really wanted to travel again. It was at this time she auditioned for QDOS entertainment where she never looked back. Becci worked firstly for QDOS Entertainment as a Lead Female Vocalist for 3 years touring Europe, Alaska, Asia and Austrailia. From this her Musical Director recognised her musical ability and then offered her the chance to be Vocal Coach and teach the shows on ships for Celebrity Cruises, P&0 and Cunard. She not only taught the vocal elements of these shows on ships but helped with all the ship installs too. She still does session work for QDOS for some of the vocal tracks for Pantomime, where you may have heard her distinctive voice in Belfast and Newcastle Upon Tyne to name just a few.
Beccis versatility as a vocalist has helped her to expand her client database working for clients such as Norwegian Cruise lines, Grosvenor Casinos, Hilton Hotels and now with lots of experience under her belt she wishes to seek more solo work. She frequents studios in the North doing a lot of session singing and working in various bands but she really wants to expand her solo market. With a wide repertoire of songs singing anything from Pop and Rock to Jazz and Opera, she is ready to seek ventures new. WATCH THIS SPACE........
